Press ReleasesThames Valley accountants and business advisers James Cowper Kreston is sponsoring the search for the region’s charity of the year.
The award is a new category in the annual Thames Valley Business Awards and is open to local charities and not-for-profit organisations with a headquarters in the Thames Valley and an income greater than £500,000.
Judges will be assessing who can best demonstrate outstanding achievement and service to beneficiaries, innovative fundraising ideas and achievement of goals over the course of the last year.
Mike Farwell, partner and Head of Charities at James Cowper Kreston, said: “We have a long history of working with charities and other not-for-profit organisations, so we see first-hand the tremendous job they do.
“It is especially tough in the current economic environment to encourage charitable giving, so we felt this is the perfect time to reward those organisations who continue to achieve their goals, provide outstanding service to those who need help and who come up with the innovative fundraising ideas which encourage the rest of us to dig deep.”
The closing date for nominations is 21 September and the winner will be announced at a gala awards night in Reading on 15 November. To find out more about the awards visit www.businessawards.co.uk.
