Southampton accountants James Cowper Kreston have been raising funds for local children’s charity The Rose Road Association.

Donations totalling £650 were collected by the accountants and business advisers after they organised a champagne draw to coincide with a quiz night for 70 local professionals at The Ageas Bowl on 3rd October.

Peter Whalley, partner at James Cowper Kreston and one of the quiz masters for the night, explained: “Rose Road plays a vital role in the community and after a few amusing rounds of questions, the occasion presented a great opportunity to bring guests up to speed with the services and opportunities offered by the Association and raise some money.”

James Cowper Kreston Chairman Adrian Rann handed over the cheque for £650 to Rose Road yesterday (16 October).

Receiving the cheque, Carly Parrick, Corporate Fundraising Officer at The Rose Road Association, said: “We would like to extend a big thank you to everyone at James Cowper Kreston Southampton for their continuing support this year, not only through fundraising but also giving up time to come up to the Bradbury centre and help. James Cowper Kreston’s support really does make a difference.”

The Rose Road Association has been working with children, young people and their families from across Hampshire and the surrounding counties since 1952. The children who attend Rose Road’s purpose built Bradbury Centre in Southampton have multiple and complex health needs and receive the highest quality of care.
