generalWe are delighted to announce that our Business Development Manager, Jennie Cartwright, has made the England Ladies Shooting Team and will be representing the country at this years’ World Championships.
After several years of attending Selection Shoots the length and breadth of the country she has finally achieved her goal.
"All those miles and all that practice is worthwhile now and achieving my first cap is a special moment in my shooting career” said Jennie. I’m the second person in our family to get a cap, my Great Grandfather W H Taylor played Rugby Union for England back in 1908."
Jennie will travel to San Antonio, Texas in April 2022 to shoot in the 2022 World Sporting Championships at the USA National Shooting Centre with 14 other English competitors and will be working hard over the next few months to be at her best for the competition which will take place over 3 days.
"Making the team is definitely something off my bucket list – there are only 3 ladies so competition is fierce for the spaces. I have shot in America before and it is a truly great experience – I am hoping that the fact I have been before will help with the nerves and that I can perform to the best of my ability. You could say the hard work starts now, it was difficult enough to make the Team but now I need to really raise my game as I will be shooting against the best in the world."
"This is a great achievement and we are delighted and so proud that Jennie has been selected to represent her Country. We wish her all the very best of luck and will be following her progress over the competition flying the flag for England" commented Sue Staunton, Joint Managing Partner.
