James Cowper Kreston to keep Transport Systems Catapult moving

Thames Valley accountants and business advisers James Cowper Kreston has been appointed auditors to the Transport Systems Catapult, a technology and innovation centre dedicated to the development and commercial exploitation of efficient transport systems that are essential to the health and wealth of the UK, its businesses, its economy and its people.

The Transport Systems Catapult is one of a seven-strong network of Catapult centres created and funded by the Government’s Technology Strategy Board, with others dedicated to high value manufacturing, cell therapy, offshore renewable energy, the digital economy, future cities and satellite technology.

Chris Powell, Chief Financial Officer, Transport Systems Catapult said: “The Transport Systems Catapult supports UK industry in exploiting the massive global market for new products and services that will drive the integration of transport and its systems.  Our challenge is to increase mobility and address the efficient and cost efficient of people and goods.

“James Cowper Kreston was able to demonstrate a keen understanding of this sector with experience of working with the Catapults and the broader public sector.  Together with the ability to respond quickly and a high level of partner involvement they will be an essential part of the team.”

The Transport Systems Catapult is based in Milton Keynes.
