Southampton accountants and business advisers James Cowper Kreston has continued its award-winning run having been shortlisted for five awards in the prestigious annual Solent Deals Awards.

The firm has been shortlisted for:

  • ‘Deal of the Year – under £25m’ for the firm’s role in advising Andante Travels on their MBI;
  • Corporate Finance Partner Stewart Lambert for ‘Dealmaker of the Year’ and ‘Corporate Finance Adviser of the Year’;
  • ‘Corporate Finance Team of the year’; and
  • ‘Due Diligence Team of the Year’.

The shortlisting follows the firm being shortlisted for five awards in April at the Thames Valley Deal Awards and its Tax team being short-listed last month for best ‘Tax Practice in a Regional Firm’ by Taxation, the world’s leading magazine for tax professionals.  James Cowper Kreston is also currently ‘Tax Team of the Year’ awarded at the British Accountancy Awards at the end of last year.

Robert Holland, Managing Partner at James Cowper Kreston, commented: “We are delighted to have been shortlisted for these awards and I am especially pleased to see Stewart Lambert recognised for his hard work over the last 12 months.  The message is increasingly clear – James Cowper Kreston is one of the best corporate finance and accounting firms in the region.”

James Cowper Kreston have been chosen as finalists out of 344 nominations, with the judges taking into consideration a range of factors including complexity, who led the deal, the mix of advisers and the timeframe – not just the size of the deal.

Commenting on his nominations Stewart Lambert, Corporate Finance Partner at James Cowper Kreston said: “I am delighted to have been shortlisted for ‘Dealmaker of the Year’ and ‘Corporate Finance Adviser of the Year’ and to see one of our deals also nominated.

“To be shortlisted is a credit for all of the hard work and effort everyone at James Cowper Kreston has put in and demonstrates the firm’s expertise and ability to deliver excellent service to our clients.  It also demonstrates our continued presence in and commitment to the Solent region”

The Solent Deal Awards are recognised as one of the leading corporate finance awards in the south and the winners of each category will be announced as a gala awards night on 5 June at the St Mary’s Stadium in Southampton.

James Cowper Kreston’s Corporate Finance team is one of the most active in the Thames Valley.  In the past 12 months it has completed over 20 deals with a combined value exceeding £200m including:
