Press ReleasesJames Cowper Kreston’s Tom Russell has been shortlisted for the prestigious Insolvency Manager of the Year Award at the annual Insolvency and Recovery Awards.
The I&R Awards commend the achievements of firms and individuals working in the insolvency and corporate recovery sector. The awards are independently judged and culminate in a prestigious black tie dinner and ceremony in London’s West End in October.
The hotly contested Insolvency Manager of the Year Award is given to the sector’s stand-out individual who contributes to the industry over and above that undertaken through his or her day-to-day work.
Tom is at the forefront of advising clients across a broad spectrum of industries, with particular expertise in the recruitment, retail and manufacturing sectors as well as working with international clients from the US and Europe. Tom was a founder member of the insolvency trade body R3’s New Professionals Group committee in the Southern Region. He also volunteers at a local higher education college presenting to business students about the practical issues encountered in running and managing a business.
Commenting on the nomination, Peter Whalley, Partner and Head of Business Restructuring and Insolvency at James Cowper Kreston said: “We are thrilled that Tom has been nominated for the Insolvency Manager of the Year Award. He is enormously talented and committed to the profession and to encouraging young people to consider a career in running their own business. I could not think of anyone more deserving.”
