Press ReleasesThames Valley and South Coast accountants James Cowper Kreston apprentice Hannah Hunter-Flack has this week been named "Apprentice of the Year" at the prestigious West Berkshire Training Consortium annual Learner Graduation and Awards.
At the same time, a further six apprentices at James Cowper Kreston were awarded ‘Certificates of Achievement’.
The hard fought Apprentice of the Year award was given to administration apprentice Hannah Hunter-Flack for the commitment above and beyond her role and the impact she has made to the delivery of international audit clients.
Robert Holland, Managing Partner, James Cowper Kreston said: “Hannah joined the firm in March 2014 as an apprentice to our business administration team, and she has excelled. She has a real can-do attitude, with job too great or too small. She has impressed us and the judging panel with her approach to not just questioning the work she does, but coming with answers and solutions that demonstrate great maturity.”
What really stands Hannah apart, however, is the contribution she has made to assisting James Cowper Kreston audit team.
Robert explains: “When interviewed she mentioned that she spoke Spanish fluently. We joked that if she was lucky she might get to travel to Gran Canaria to act as a translator during an audit of a company where they do not speak much English. Less than a month later she was travelling with our audit team. She is now part of the audit team for that client and will be joining us again later this year.”
Matt Garvey, Managing Director of West Berkshire Training Consortium, adds: “Our congratulations go to Hannah. She has proven herself to be a terrific resource to James Cowper Kreston with a winning attitude. She is a deserving winner.”
The six James Cowper Kreston apprentices who were awarded ‘Certificates of Achievement’ are Georgia Presland, Toby Thorne, Jack Wild, Tay Rahman, Darcie Goulding and Hannah Hunter-Flack
James Cowper Kreston also sponsored the Young Learner of the Year award.
