We are delighted to announce the appointment of Marketing and Business Development Director, Andy Cowie, to Partner with effect from 1 May 2024.
The appointment follows a prolonged period of growth and development at the firm and will see Andy’s role focus on client service as well as the development of new clients and markets across the London, Thames Valley and Solent regions.
The appointment marks a significant milestone for the firm, being the first non-fee-earner to be appointed to the partnership. James Cowper Kreston is just one of a small handful of accountancy firms with non-fee-earners holding Partner status.
“I am thrilled and honoured to be joining the partnership at James Cowper Kreston” said Andy. “Marketing and business development remain critical functions of the firm but my role will be evolving into one focused on supporting the needs and concerns of clients. Giving clients another contact within the partnership will ensure the firm continues to grow and develop whilst delivering outstanding support to our clients.”
Commenting on his appointment, Joint Managing Partner, Sue Staunton said: “As a firm we are fully committed to maximising the potential of all our team and recognise that everyone within the team – whether fee-earning or not – contributes to our being able to deliver the high quality of service to our clients that we do. Andy has made a significant contribution to the firm over the past 14 years. His role has developed into a very public-facing position, leading the firm’s development of new clients and markets for the firm. His appointment is recognition of the wide contribution he makes both within the operations of our firm as well as externally to our clients and contacts. We look forward to welcoming him to the partnership and his continued contribution.”
Alex Peal, Joint Managing Partner adds: “James Cowper Kreston is a forward-looking firm acting for ambitious businesses and individuals. Andy’s appointment to Partner breaks the accountancy firm mould in many respects, demonstrating the value we place upon the contribution our non-fee-earners as well as fee-earners bring to the firm and our clients. Our congratulations go to Andy and the whole firm looks forward to working alongside him in his new role”.
