James Cowper Kreston advises City & County Healthcare on its first Welsh acquisition

Thames Valley and South Coast accountants James Cowper Kreston client and private equity-backed company, City & County Healthcare Group, has acquired ISS Healthcare for an undisclosed amount.

Founded in 2001, ISS Healthcare employs 200 care workers delivering services in Torfaen in South Wales and Birmingham. Its carers provide a mix of complex care, 24-hour care, elderly care and private care. The company's two branches will continue to be run by their experienced registered managers Marion Guest and Joanne Pickett post-merger.

James Cowper Kreston has provided acquisition advisory services to City & County Healthcare Group since 2010. It is the Group’s thirteenth acquisition since the company was bought by Sovereign Capital in September 2009 and James Cowper Kreston has worked on eleven of them.

City & County is the UK’s fourth largest domiciliary care provider and in recognition of this growth, it was ranked at 36 in the Sunday Times ‘2012 Buyout Track 100’. Through its network of operating companies, the group provides close to 140,000 hours of care each week to thousands of service users.
