Press ReleasesJames Cowper Kreston’s Corporate Finance team recently provided financial and tax due diligence, along with tax structuring services, for YFM Equity Partners in their recent investment in SharpCloud Software Limited.
SharpCloud was founded in 2012 by Sarim Khan and Rusty Johnson to fulfil a need for powerful top-down software tools that could allow large organisations to visualise complex data across siloed lines-of-business. The injection of capital from YFM has allowed them to fund their continued growth as the company scales to meet market development.
YFM Equity Partners are an independent private equity firm owned by its senior management and investment team; they invest up to £10 million worth of equity though their offices across the country. YFM focus on companies who have ambitious management teams with an innovative approach to market and a strong brand. They create value by focusing on growth, increasing market share and innovating new products; the firm will continue to work alongside the team at SharpCloud as the business develops.
Brad McAvoy, Corporate Finance Director at James Cowper Kreston said “We are delighted to have assisted YFM on their investment in SharpCloud. The investment will support the growth in the SharpCloud business and help to achieve its market roll-out to an international client base.”
Adam Hart, Investment Manager at YFM said “Phil, Emma, Brad and Nathan provided quality practical advice both in respect of tax structuring and financial due diligence to support the deal process. Their pragmatic approach is always appreciated, and we look forward to working with James Cowper Kreston again in the future.”
